FirstEnergy names Daniel Puscas as CIO

FirstEnergy Corp is an investor-owned holding company engaged in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity across five mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states. Puscas most recently served as a partner at Fortium Partners, advising companies on technology strategy and operational improvements. Previously, he was a director at AlixPartners, where he led tech transformations and post-merger integrations. He also held senior leadership roles at Comerica. Puscas holds a BSBA from Central Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Eric Tagliere joins R1 as CIO

R1 is a healthcare revenue management company that helps providers reduce costs, increase revenue, and streamline operations. Most recently, Tagliere served as CTO at Humana, where he led a global organization of approximately 6,000 team members. Prior to Humana, he was CTO at Marriott International, where he oversaw digital engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture. Tagliere also held senior leadership roles at Ameriprise Financial, Experian, and Nielsen. He holds a BS from Northern Illinois University.

Geisinger welcomes Bill Bellando as CIO

Geisinger, based in Danville, Pennsylvania, operates an integrated health system that includes hospitals, clinics, research programs, and health insurance services. Before joining, Bellando was CIO at Wellstar, where he oversaw IT and digital initiatives across the health system. He held prior roles at Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Windstream Communications. Bellando holds a BA, BS, and MS from Louisiana Tech University.

Wasif Jamal joins WellSpan Health as CIO

WellSpan Health is an integrated health system with more than 23,000 team members and over 250 patient care locations. Prior to joining, Jamal was global CTO at Providence Health, where he led enterprise-wide infrastructure, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity initiatives. He’s also held senior global tech leadership roles at Microsoft Corporation and GE. Jamal has a BS from the National University of Science and Technology, and an MS from Gannon University.

Cumberland Farms taps Michael Verdesca as CIO

Cumberland Farms is a convenience store retailer with 1,500 locations across the US. Verdesca was most recently CIO at Murphy USA, where he oversaw all of the retailer’s tech initiatives. Prior to Murphy USA, he was CIDO for restaurant holding company Focus Brands, now known as GoTo Foods, where he oversaw technology, digital marketing, program management and analytics for seven international food service brands. Earlier, Verdesca was CIO for Jack in the Box. He holds a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Teradata names Josh Fecteau as CDAO and CIO

San Diego-based Teradata provides cloud analytics and data management technologies to enterprises worldwide. Fecteau joined in 2019 and has led Teradata’s Data & AI organization since November 2025. Prior to joining, he held leadership roles at EMC and in strategic consulting, advising CIOs on enterprise-wide IT transformation. He has a BS from Syracuse University.

Karen Higgins-Carter announced as CITO for Kroll

Kroll is an independent provider of financial and risk advisory solutions with a team of over 6,500 professionals worldwide. Prior to joining, Higgins-Carter served as EVP and CIDO at Gilbane building company and as EVP and CIO at Webster Financial Corporation. She’s also held senior tech leadership roles at MUFG Union Bank, Bridgewater Associates, JPMorgan Chase and GE Capital, leading large-scale simplification and modernization, cybersecurity, and enterprise platform initiatives. Higgins-Carter holds a BA and BSME from Lafayette College.

Jon Whiley joins TRG as CIO

TRG is a global managed services provider that manages the full lifecycle of every enterprise endpoint. Prior to joining, Whiley served as CIO and CTO at The Planet Group and held prior leadership roles at Majestic Steel USA and Network Services Company. Whiley has a BBA from Ohio University. 

PowerGrid Services welcomes Brad Manning as CIO

PowerGrid serves a wide range of utility providers across the country, including major utilities, cooperatives, and municipalities, and specializes in overhead distribution construction, transmission line maintenance, and right-of-way clearing and vegetation management. Before, Manning served as CIO at Strada Services, where he led enterprise IT initiatives, drove innovation, and strengthened tech capabilities to support business growth. Before that, he was CIO at TopBuild. He has a BS from Purdue University and an MBA from Ball State University.

Anguel Lindarev appointed CIO for WesBanco

WesBanco is a financial services company that provides traditional retail and commercial banking, trust services, securities brokerage, wealth management, and insurance services. Most recently, Lindarev served as EVP and CIO at Capital Bank. He’s also held CIO and senior tech leadership roles at American National Bank, Comerica Bank, and American Express. Lindarev has a BS from the University of National and World Economy, and an MBA from ASU.

John Trchala named CTO at eIVF

eIVF is a fertility EMR and practice management platform used by reproductive health clinics across North America. Trchala held prior senior tech leadership roles across multiple PE-backed organizations, helping companies grow and scale while leading large modernization and transformation programs. He holds a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
